Refund policy

This policy governs the right of withdrawal, returns and refunds for purchases made in the online shop of Miel de Corail (Chemin de la Chesnaie 8, 1219 Châtelaine, Geneva, Switzerland – UID: CHE-232.234.394). Mandatory consumer rights that consumers resident in the European Union and the European Economic Area enjoy under the law of their country remain unaffected.

1. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you, acquire physical possession of the goods (or of the last item, if your order is delivered in several shipments).

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by an unequivocal statement (for example by email) to mieldecorail.bijoux@gmail.com or at the postal address above. You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of this page, but it is not obligatory. It is sufficient to send your notice before the withdrawal period has expired. We grant this right voluntarily to all our customers, in Switzerland and abroad.

2. Effects of withdrawal

  • We will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs (except any additional costs if you chose a more expensive delivery method than our standard one), without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision.
  • We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earlier.
  • We will refund using the same means of payment as for the initial transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise, and at no cost to you.

3. Returning the goods

  • Send the goods back to the address above without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you notify us of your withdrawal.
  • You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. We recommend a tracked and insured shipping method; the risk of transport is yours until the parcel reaches us.
  • Pack the item carefully, in its original box and with any certificates and labels.
  • You are liable only for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning (for example an item that has been worn, scratched or damaged).

4. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

  • Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (for example engraved items).
  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons and whose seal was broken after delivery (for example earrings and other jewellery worn on a pierced part of the body).

5. Wrong or defective items

If you receive a wrong, damaged or defective item, please tell us as soon as possible, with photos. Your statutory guarantee rights remain unaffected (a legal guarantee of conformity of at least 2 years for EU consumers; 2-year liability under Swiss law, provided defects are notified without delay). In that case the cost of return or exchange is borne by us.
